Steve is the Director of Communications for the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals. A native Virginian, Steve relocated to New York City after college to pursue a career in communications. His career journey included copywriting at Revlon and corporate writing at a business communications firm. Steve’s love for animals led him to pivot to a career in animal welfare, eventually taking on the communications lead for the Mayor’s Alliance for NYC’s Animals, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to saving lives at New York City shelters and helping pet owners acquire services and resources to care for their pets. Steve has served on the boards of several animal protection groups. He represents the Mayor’s Alliance on the Animal Planning Task Force of NYC’s Emergency Management, United Spay Alliance, and Lights Out Coalition. Over the years Steve has volunteered with numerous animal welfare organizations, and currently is a foster volunteer for Fetch a Cure (a support organization for cancer pets) and Pixie’s Pen Pals (which matches shelter dogs with prison inmates for training and enrichment). Although Steve loves all animals, he has a particular fondness for beagles, and has shared his home with several wonderful beagles and cats over the years.

David Greenberg has more than 25 years of experience in leadership, public speaking and consulting work. As President of Greenberg Capital, David is a mentor and business coach for a network of corporate, non-profit, and educational institutions. He is a former strategic advisor for the NHL’s Florida Panthers. David was Chairman of the Advisory Board for Amercanex, an international cannabis exchange that was successfully acquired by the international firm HELIX. Previously, David served as Executive Board and Board Member of the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) during the time it was the world’s largest physical commodities exchange. As President of Sterling Commodities for 20 years, he oversaw 200 futures and options customers for compliance with exchange and governmental authorities, making it one of the largest local clearinghouses at NYMEX and COMEX. David is active on the board of several charities and non-profit organizations in Southern Florida.

Brad is a graduate of the University of Arizona (1985) with a B.S. in Psychology and Business Administration. He worked for 2 years as Director of Expansion for the Sigma Alpha Epsilon National Fraternity 1986-1988, establishing over 50 new colonies and chapters across the country. He was then recruited to join the Xerox Corporation where he worked in their sales program in their Engineering & Graphic Products division. Cohen has been in the Title and Settlement Service industry for the past 35 years. After a short time with North American Title Company, he joined a small independent Escrow Company (Heritage) in 1990 and was part of their executive team from 1996-2009 growing the company from 4 to 28 locations and making it the largest independent escrow company in California. The company was sold to First American Corporation in 2007 and Brad left the company in March 2009 to start his own company, Granite Escrow & Settlement Services. He built it to 8 locations throughout southern California (Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Irvine, Newport Beach, Temecula, San Diego & Carlsbad) with 120 employees, processing over $12 billion through their trust accounts annually. Granite was recognized as one of the leading and most secure settlement companies in California. As a result of their extensive cyber security, Cohen expanded into Holding Escrows and handled many of the EB-5 projects throughout the US. The company held over $600m a day in the trust accounts for investors worldwide. Cohen also founded Limestone Signing Services, Bridgeport Equities, Coast Developers LLC and Universal Pacific 1031 Exchange in 2016. In December 2021, Cohen sold his companies to First American (FAF) and stayed on as President until September 2021 when he retired. Cohen has served on numerous boards. He was President of the Orange County chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, he served on the executive board of the Merage JCC and was part of its $65m building construction and fundraising efforts, He served for ten years on the SAE National Fraternity Board of Directors and served as its National President 2013-15. He served on the UC Irvine Diabetes Center Executive Board for over 12 years, and as a Trustee of the SAE Foundation, a $75 million organization. Cohen currently serves on the Board of Governors at Chapman University, a highly regarded private university in Orange, CA. Cohen is a native of South Africa and immigrated to the United States in 1979 at the age of 16 with his family. He has been a resident of Newport Beach, CA since 1988 where he lives with his wife Kim of 33 years and their three children, Devon (25), Sydney (23) and Zachary (23). He and his wife are donors to multiple organizations in Orange County. He enjoys working out, gardening and travel and spends much time during the winter at their other home and is “happy place” in Mexico.

Adam D. Cahn is a co-founder and Managing Partner of Sakkas, Cahn & Weiss, LLP, a premiere law firm in New York City, specializing in the litigation of significant personal injury, medical malpractice, and product liability actions. Cahn received a BSM from Tulane University, A.B. Freeman School of Business in 1988. He started his career in investment banking, and later attended law school at night, while juggling a full-time job in real estate finance. He obtained his Juris Doctor in 1994 from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he was a member of Law Review. Cahn gained his reputation as a trial lawyer, obtaining numerous verdicts throughout the country, and has been consistently recognized as one of the preeminent lawyers in his field, receiving the following honors: Best Lawyers in America, New York Super Lawyers Top 100, National Trial Lawyers Top 100, New York Law Journals' Verdicts Hall of Fame Honoree, and America’s Top 100 Attorneys’ Lifetime Achievement Award. He was named Personal Injury Lawyer of the Year by Attorney at Law Magazine (2018) and Attorney.com (2020). He is an avid cyclist, golfer and traveler, and serves on the boards of several small companies and charitable foundations.

Dr. David Abramson is a plastic surgeon with practices in New York City and New Jersey. He is a graduate of The John’s Hopkins University and the New York University School of Medicine. He completed his Plastic Surgery training at the Harvard/ Brigham/Children’s Hospital program. Dr Abramson has been the Chief of Plastic Surgery at SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn as well as being a President of both the New York Regional Society of Plastic Surgeons and the New Jersey Society of Plastic Surgeons. More recently Dr Abramson has been the Chief of Plastic Surgery at Englewood Health and President of the Medical Staff during the COVID pandemic. Dr. Abramson is currently a member of the Board of Trustees at Englewood Health having previously serving of the Englewood Health Foundation Board. Dr Abramson has published more than 30 papers on various topics in Plastic Surgery. He is a lifelong dog owner and currently has a golden doodle named Buttons.

Jeff Berman is an accomplished business leader and attorney, currently serving as the President and CEO of Mercury Paint Corporation, New York's largest independent paint manufacturer. Barbera Thornhill is President of her own design firm, Impact Design, Inc. Raised in a medical family from Raleigh, North Caroline, Ms. Thornhill, is an alumna of St. Mary’s School in Raleigh, North Carolina; North Carolina State and George Washington University. In college, Ms. Thornhill started a company of importing grasscloth and silk wallcoverings from Asia, which eventually led to the formation of Impact Design, Inc., a commercial and residential interior and architectural design company. She designed hotels from London’s Halcyon Hotel, Tokyo’s Narita Hotel, Hong Kong’s Mira Costa Hotel, W Hotel in San Mateo to The Phoenician Hotel in Arizona. In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Thornhill is a member of the Junior League of Los Angeles, Juniors of Social Services, Women’s Museum Foundation of Washington, D.C., Show Coalition of Los Angeles, American Film Institute Associates, The Blue Ribbon, The Colleagues, The Bel Air Garden Club, Getty Museum Paintings Council, Getty Research Institute Council, The Getty Villa Museum, and SHARE (an organization of women for the good of orphaned children). Loretta Swit is an award-winning actress, artist, and dedicated animal rights activist. Best known for her iconic portrayal of Major Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan on the acclaimed television series MASH*, Swit has seamlessly blended her artistic talents with her passion for animal welfare. In 2016, she founded the SwitHeart Animal Alliance, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to preventing cruelty and ending animal suffering. The Alliance collaborates with numerous nonprofits and programs that protect, rescue, train, and care for animals while preserving their habitats. Through education and outreach, SwitHeart raises public awareness on issues concerning domestic, farm, exotic, wild, and native animals.
